Beaches
East Looe beach - This lovely wide sandy beach which is cleaned daily, has step terraces, a popular sun-trap for summer visitors. The beach is ideal for young families. Please note, dogs are not allowed on the main beach.
Second or Sanders beach - Through what is locally called the Kyber Pass - a break in the rocks at the far end of the seafront - is second beach; a lunar landscape of rocks and rock pools where crabs scavenge for food, the stinging tentacles of the sea anemone capture unwary prawns and beautifully camouflaged fish like the Tompot Blenny hide until freed by the incoming tide. Dogs with responsible owners welcomed.
Plaidy beach - Take the coastal path to Plaidy, a delightful little beach, also accessible from second beach at low tide.
Hannafore beach - This beach is also rocky with magnificent views of Looe Island and a wealth of marine life. Please leave everything as you find it as it’s part of the Looe Voluntary Marine Conservation Area. Dogs with responsible owners welcomed.
